Why I've been MIA and some stuff

I feel awful for being missing in action on all my blogs the past few weeks. I really wanted to blog, believe me, I did, but I have a lot going on in my life right now healthwise I don't even know how to start. I don't know how to start. But I'll get to everything going on.

I don't want anyone having some weird pity party for me, or to feel bad for me. Because it's not what my goal right now is my goal is to explain everything going on some changes to my other blogs, and a ton of stuff that I need to get out of my head.

My health is the first and foremost thing.
Around July I started getting weird numbness and tingling in my extremities and my face. Which worried my nurse practitioner, so she sent me to get bloodwork to check for stuff like, lupus, and stuff like that. My dad had lupus, RA, fibromyalgia and some other things wrong with him when he was alive, so it scared me a lot. Getting those tests.

My tests ended up coming back that I do have a problem with my ANA being high, which sometimes people's ANA can be high and nothing is wrong with them, or there can be something wrong, so I was sent to see a rheumatologist. I was told by my NP, to look at the symptoms of lupus to know what I'm dealing with and that my tiredness, achiness, my kidney troubles, and my headaches could all stem from having lupus or some kind of autoimmune disorder.

With all of that, I was told to see a neurologist, from my rheumatologist, because he thinks some of my problems are neurological. So I'm still waiting on that. Yay! More stuff that's wrong with me.

As I stated I do have a problem with headaches, I have a problem with migraines both regular migraines and what they call occipital migraines. Which love to take turns, so my heads hurting a lot. It gets me tired, and medications either don't work or I can't take them because I am medication sensitive, and have a red dye allergy. It's all finding what works.

I wish I could stop with my health issues, I'd love to but my health doesn't end there. My more recent blood work also shows that I have a problem with a low white blood cell count and a low platelet count. They make me feel freaking miserable.

One of these things is messing with my immune system badly, I end up catching what other people have. I was lucky to get the stomach bug going around, and as I'm writing this I feel miserable.

So with all of that, puts up question marks above them health wise. I do have problems that are constant like I said, my migraines, I also have a problem with IBS. I am also an Aspie (Asperger's) which is on the autism spectrum. I am not saying that autism is an illness or anything of the sort, the co-morbidity of it does cause a handful of problems.

Some days I too sore and tired to attempt to write my blog, some days I'm in the middle of stomach cramps, and some days I feel like having a meltdown. I want to blog consistently, but I try to put my health first. I can't keep doing that, though.

Some changes
A few of the blogs I have are going to be migrated, a few are going but-bye, or are being revamped, or something of the sort. Breathes of Darkness is going to be leaving. But I do have a music centered blog in its place, a news and review type of page. Same goes with Chakra Blossom, I'm getting a new blog because I'm not too happy with all the essential oils and such like that I want more relatable of a blog.

The blog that is going is going to be Glitz Book, I'll still talk about fashion, but it's going to be written about here, and not all the time.

Even this blog is going to get more interesting. Freya and my freebies will still be here, but I'm hoping for more reviews, more ways to save and make money, and even more personal blogs. Talking about personal. Someone I follow on Facebook, Lok-crezia, who is also an Aspie, has been doing this thing, where she has been talking about one good thing about herself, to put her in a better mood lately. Which led me to think, "My blog needs that, I need to be doing that. It's been hell health wise but, I need to see the good in myself. I pretend I have none."  Okay, it's more I don't think I have any good points, that I'm lazy, or that all I am is a walking talking illness. Those little illness microbe plushies are cool by the way.

So with that said some things that will be happening with this blog are:

  • Coupons/money saving: I know I really don't need to get into it but it's my life and this blog is me, and I'm Trixie and I like free stuff.
  • More Freya, she's wanting at least two days, because she' a diva
  • More positivity. Thanks, Lok-crezia or the idea!
  • More personal stuff. Yes, this blog will take the nerd button up more, more stuff about my life in general, fashion, stuff that make me, who I am.
  • Last but not least, a bit more about health. Because nobody needs to be alone. Ever. I want to shine a light on autism. I want to talk about my daily life with autism.

Much love,
Trixie.

Kitteh Fud Kitteh Fud

Yum Food they won't eat.
Freya ignoring the other food.
Even though it isn't Friday, Frey and I realized we needed to make another huge important blog post. It's right up my furry furballs' alley. It's something her and Monkey had to talk a bit about. It's about her kitty cat food.

Just recently, Freya was able to review something just for herself, it was a bag of Hill's Diet Kitten food. I was excited I was going to let her try something, and feel like some big mean scientist girl, watching Freya eat a new food. At least that's what I thought was going to happen with Freya.

Nope! I was wrong Freya looked at her food sniffed it and walked away. I only put it in a little dish by her food, so a few days later we tried putting it in Freya and Monkey's dish. They both looked at the food and left it alone. The logic was that if they got hungry they'd come back for it. The food sat untouched all night and we had a very hungry cat and kitten the next day.

Needless say, just because a food is natural. It doesn't mean that your cat or kittens will eat it. They don't know it's good for them, so be wary if they don't like their new cat food.

In Freya's exact words she told me (it's in LOLCat language):
HAY, GURL HOOMAN. I DUN LIEK DIS FUD. IM GOIN ON FUD STRIKE TIL U GIMIE MAH OLD FUD BAK. PLZ!

This food was brought to you by Crowdtap. I was given this food as a review item, free and exchange for my honest opinion.

Kitty Sleeping on her back again?!

I've heard and read many wives tales about cats and why they sleep on their back. Before I took this photo of my sleeping kitten Freya, she was sleeping on her back, until she nearly fell off of the bed. I had to save her from falling off. She really loves sleeping on her back.

So what on earth does a cat sleeping on her back mean? Caster had a funny little article about what a cat's favorite position says about them. But it actually does hold some merit to why Freya chooses to sleep on her back rather than Monkey (our other cat), who sleeps on his stomach or on his side.

When a cat sleeps on her back, belly up, it doesn't mean she's dead, like it means in goldfish language, it means she or he's comfortable. A cat's belly is there tender spot, they don't like to be touched there unless they trust who they're around, and even more so they trust their human when they're sleeping. Freya's telling me "Girl human, I'm comfortable, I trust you won't bother me or hurt me." As I do try to keep my distance from Freya when I'm writing or blogging.

Freya also made mention to me that along with freebie Friday she wants a Freya's day Friday, and that she wants to be a blogger. So if you're into cat blogs, be ready she'll have her own little segment on Friday's since Friday means Frigg's Day, which refers to Frigg (Freya) the Norse Goddess of fertility and love. Since there's a ton of things that Freya does want to talk about, cat things.

Yes I am aware I am not Dr. Dolittle and Freya really doesn't talk to me. I am going to be starting a Friday segment with Freya since it felt befitting of my little furry friend to have her own special day in the blogging world.

What they don't tell you about retinol cream may shock you.

It's been two weeks and I have met the dreaded two-week breakout. The two-week dreaded breakout is as bad as it sounds, two weeks into using retinol and my is broke out, I have tons of little blackheads, and pimples everywhere! Because I am me, I freaked out expecting the worst. Thinking maybe my retinol cream sucked. That was exactly my thought.

I went to Google learned a bit about the breakout thinking that it was the stuff I was using caused an allergic reaction and my skin hated it or that possibly my stuff was cheap and didn't work the way it should have. What I learned was valuable.

Retinol does exfoliate your skin, and what I learned, our skin renews itself every 28 days. Retinol is an accelerator, in a sense, if you have something going on such as a pimple or a blackhead you're going to get them sooner.
Eventually, your pimples go away, but that doesn't mean that you can't use something else to help with the pimples in the mean time. While I know I should have been using the rest of my regimen as well, I did decide to see how well the cream worked alone, so I didn't give any misinformation about retinol.

With that said, my two-week study is now going to become a one month, or possibly a two-month
study on retinol creams
My pimples

Angel Fish Education.

I really had to talk about this cool educational game I found online, called Angel Breed. It's all about genetics, and recessive vs, dominant traits. You have 20 rounds to breed fish.

Your two starter fish are a Silver Blue Angel Fish with a veil, and fish two is a silver as you've noticed on the photo there are three different things to look at the Color, the stripes, and the veil.

Once your two beginner fish breed three offspring are chosen, out of 50 offspring to go into the tank to reproduce. A common silver angel fish is extremely common giving zero points to rarity. Like anywhere the rarer something is the more money it's going to be sold for.

Once you mate your first two fish, you're given the option of more things to control about your fish genetically. It almost ups the ante a bit if you'll notice. We have a normal fish, a gold fish a marble, and a double dark. In my opinion, I like the gold marble. I think they're pretty so for my expierement, I'm going to mate the gold and gold marble together to see what's going to happen. If you know genetics you already know what's going to happen to these two.

Genetics gave me a whole new grab bag of fish, two white golds with veils, and a white gold marble with a veil. The whole game goes on for 20 rounds to see how much someone can accumulate. People can play either one out of two ways, breed to make fish they like i.e. your dream angel fish or you're able to make the fish that makes you tons of money.

Sometimes your tank gets full because you're only able to have 20 fish, which does mean you will have to sell some of your fish. My silver angel fish, who has zero genetic value as you can see, only sells for 4 coins, while my black hybrid clown, sells for 17 coins.
If you're curious about what's going to happen when you use genetics, you can test it by paying 20 coins to find out what happens during your breeding process, which will give you a list of genotypes and the possiblities that are out there when you breed two fish together. The list for my two fish is so long, I have decided to not show them all.

For those curious what the outcome of my fish tank was, we the three above. There's always a list to see how much each fish is worth, but I hardly ever use it when I'm breeding, because I want to find out after I mate two fish together. Either way is an option.

Have fun and happy breeding?

What's your favorite breed of fish in the game?

Goals this month

I can't believe I've been MIA this long, it wasn't my intentions. My mind has been elsewhere lately. I've failed miserably on my resolutions, I have yet to read my books, well it's more or less I have yet to pick up the books I wanted to read.

The one resolution I'm doing well with is cutting out on caffeine and junk food. I haven't stopped completely, but at the store, a few times last month I went, I was reluctant to want to buy myself an energy drink or pop.

I have also come up with some more things to do the month. I am going to start my own exercise regimen. I'm going to even get to writing more creative things for this blog. I'm hoping to post at least a creative piece twice a month.
